I think we can all agree that 2020 has been one hell of a ride. One thing I can say for sure is that we’re all ready for this new year. I wanted to round up 5 of my most popular blog recipes- which happen to all be healthy dessert- for you guys, and thank you all for the amazing support you’ve given me this year. The one good thing that came out of 2020 for me was launching my blog and rebranding to Something Nutritious, and your feedback and support does not go unnoticed.
Cheers to another amazing year of delicious recipes and nutritious eats! I linked my 5 most viewed recipes of 2020 below- are we even surprised that they’re all sweets? 🙂
1. Vegan Marbled Banana Bread

The 5th most viewed recipe on the blog is this marbled banana bread. It was one of my first attempts at vegan baking, and it remains one of my favorite banana breads to date! It has swirls of chocolate, it’s filled with chocolate chips, and you wouldn’t even guess it was vegan.
I love making this recipe into muffins, and having them on hand for a quick breakfast or snack. You can also use real eggs if you didn’t have chia eggs. Either way, it’s sure to be a hit among the whole family!
2. Chocolate Chunk Tahini Oatmeal Bars

These chocolate chunk tahini oatmeal bars lie somewhere between a blondie and a cookie. They’re lightly sweetened, and have a subtle tahini flavor.
They’re gluten & dairy-free, and are the perfect little something to bake as a snack bar for the week.
3. Vegan Caramel Candy Bars, aka Twix

If there’s one thing I recommend stocking your freezing with, it’s with these vegan caramel candy bars, aka Twix bars. They have a grain-free shortbread crust, a delicious nut butter caramel, and a layer of dark chocolate.
They’re seriously so amazing, and really easy to make! No blender or stove-top required.
4. Almond Butter Brownies

These almond butter brownies practically speak for themselves, but they’re seriously one the best baked goods I’ve ever made! They’re super fudgy, and made with no flour.
They’re gluten & dairy free, and topped with an optional layer of melted chocolate. You’ll need only 7 ingredients for these guys!
5. Almond Flour Chocolate Chip Cookies

Last but definitely not least, these almond flour chocolate chip cookies have remained my top blog recipe since launching in May 2020! They’re the perfect soft baked cookie made with all almond flour and sweetened with coconut sugar.
The photo above was a batch I made into larger cookies (4 tbsp per cookie), which is why they look different than the blog post photos.
I hope you guys try some of these healthy dessert recipes. If you do, a rating and review on the recipe post is so greatly appreciated! Have a happy and healthy new year, fam 🙂
