Greek Yogurt Bagels

6-ingredient greek yogurt bagels are an easy, protein-packed breakfast made with all-purpose flour and non-fat greek yogurt!

Greek yogurt bagels have taken over my Tiktok feed and I’m not mad about it. They’re easy to make, light & fluffy, and a delicious protein-rich breakfast to have on hand.

You’ll need just two main ingredients for these bagels- all-purpose flour and greek yogurt. They’re rolled out, brushed with egg and everything but the bagel seasoning, and baked until crisp.

I love toasting them and serving them with cream cheese and cucumbers, or using them for an egg and cheese bagel for an extra boost of protein.

Though they definitely won’t replace real bagels in my diet, I love having these around for a quick, nourishing breakfast or snack.

What you’ll need for these Greek yogurt bagels

You’ll need 6 total ingredients for this bagel recipe:

  • All-purpose flour
  • 0% Greek yogurt
  • Baking powder
  • Salt
  • Egg
  • Everything but the bagel seasoning- I personally think this adds a more traditional taste to the bagels, but feel free to use your favorite toppings instead
Greek Yogurt Bagels

How to make 6-ingredient bagels

  1. Start by combining the flour, baking powder, salt and yogurt in a bowl. Knead the dough with your hands to evenly incorporate the flour and yogurt. Once a dough starts to form, transfer it to a floured surface
  2. Continue kneading the dough on a lightly floured surface for a couple of minutes. Sprinkle flour as needed if the dough becomes too sticky.
  3. Once the dough is smooth, divide it into 4 equal balls. Roll each ball into a strand, about 6″ long, then pinch the ends together to form your bagels, leaving a small hole in the center.
  4. Brush each bagel with whisked egg and sprinkle generously with everything but the bagel seasoning.
  5. Bake for about 20 minutes. Let cool, toast again and enjoy!

These greek yogurt bagels are easy to make, so delicious, and a convenient breakfast to have around. I hope you guys love them as much as we do!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour, plus about 1/4 cup extra for kneading
  • 1 cup 0% Greek yogurt
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 egg, whisked
  • Toppings: everything but the bagel seasoning

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 F
  2. In a bowl, combine the flour, salt and baking powder.
  3. Add in the greek yogurt and start mixing together with your hands. The dough may feel wet and sticky at first, but continue mixing with your hands to form a smoother dough. Add extra flour by the tbsp as needed
  4. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and continue kneading the dough for a couple of minutes. I suggest adding a little extra flour to you hands if the dough is sticky.
  5. Split the dough into 4 equal parts. Roll each one into a strand then pinch the ends together to form the bagel. Repeat with remaining dough.
  6. Place the bagels on a parchment lined baking sheet. Lightly brush each one with the whisked egg and sprinkle with everything but the bagel seasoning.
  7. Bake for about 18-22 minutes, until the tops are brown. Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing.
  8. When serving, I like to slice my bagel and toast it for 2 minutes to crisp the inside.
  9. Refrigerate leftovers for 4-5 days, or freeze for up to 2 months. To reheat, slice the bagels and toast them for a couple of minutes.

Made protein choc chip bagels!!
I followed the recipe ( minus the everything seasoning ) plus I added 1 scoop cookie butter protein powder and Lily’s sf choc chips. Baked according to directions. They turned out so nicely… soft and fluffy inside with a bit of crunch outside. Will definitely make again.

Wonderful and so easy! My daughter shared your recipe with me and I tried them this morning. I made sesame bagels since I had sesame seeds. They turned out beautifully, and I enjoyed them so much. I’m in the process of losing weight and had cut out bagels due to the higher calorie count. These are just perfect to fit into my plan. Looking forward to trying your other recipes!
